Who we are

SJ Compliance Solutions was founded by Suzy Hughes, an experienced Quality Assurance Professional with more than 20 years working across the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

Suzy has extensive experience implementing, maintaining and improving Quality Management Systems, leading internal and supplier audits, managing CAPA programmes and supporting organisations through certification and regulatory inspections.

Suzy began her career as an analytical scientist, developing extensive technical and laboratory experience before progressing into Quality Assurance. Her career has included pharmaceutical manufacturing, clinical-stage therapies and medical device organisations giving her a broad understanding of quality across the product lifecycle. Her approach is practical and collaborative. Suzy believes quality should enable businesses to succeed not create unnecessary barriers. She works closely with teams to understand their challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions’ that are both compliant and practical. 

As a Qualified Iso 9001 and 13485 Lead Auditor. Suzy specialised in Quality Management Systems, CAPA Complaints Non-conformance, auditing, risk management and continuous improvement. 

Suzy believes quality should enable businesses to succeed not create unnecessary barriers. She works closely with teams to understand their challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions’ that are both compliant and practical.
